Who We Are

A Global Company

Waste plastic is a global concern and PLASTIC ENERGY is able to adapt to fit local requirements, simultaneously working with international and local partners to efficiently expand the technology worldwide to help prevent plastic pollution.

Modular Plants

PLASTIC ENERGY’s modular plants can be built anywhere and can be integrated with existing infrastructure and processes.

Industry Leaders

We are the leader in chemical recycling of plastics with proven, scalable patented technology and the capability of successfully and continuously processing plastics.

Patented Technology

PLASTIC ENERGY’s UK based team of technology specialists have over 10 years of experience of developing the unique, patented TAC process, converting valueless plastic waste into TACOIL and back into virgin plastic, suitable for food use (Plastic2Plastic).

Benchmarking

We operate two plastic recycling plants in Seville and Almeria (Spain) and are entering in the third phase of our growth with the next generation scalable plants including major technology developments.

Accreditations

ISO – International Organisation for Standardisation

Plastic Energy Ltd. has been certified to the ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) standards by Bureau Veritas. These internationally recognised standards ensure our products and services clearly meet the needs of customers through effective quality management systems and environmental management.

ISCC PLUS

We are proud to operate the world’s first waste plastic conversion facility with ISCC PLUS certification. The production line certified according to the ISCC PLUS Standard recycles plastic waste into a valuable product, contributing to reduced virgin feedstock consumption. This is verified and confirmed by a third party.

RSB

We are pleased to have become the first end-of-life plastics chemical recycler to achieve certification for one of the world’s most robust sustainability standards for the circular and bio-based economy. Our recycling facility in Sevilla, Spain now carries a Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) certification, demonstrating its important role in the circular economy by transforming end-of-life plastics into recycled oils that can be used to make virgin-quality plastics, thus reducing the need for fossil resources.

British Safety Council

As members of the British Safety Council, we are dedicated to making sure we operate facilities that are safe for both our employees and the environment. Our mission is to ensure that health and safety is always a priority and that our company continues to uphold high standards of safety and best practice.

Cyber Essentials

Plastic Energy Ltd. has been certified as complying with the requirements of the Cyber Essentials Scheme, which demonstrates our ability to protect our IT infrastructure against online threats.
